Out patient department, in patient department, laboratory services, HIV/AIDS project (Comprehensive Care Center), Theater services, maternity services, X-ray services, Ultra Sound services, MCH/FP services, physiotherapy services etc.

Inpatient department

We have well equipped wards which have defibrillators, resuscitation kits, oxygen concentrators among other machines. We also have dedicated and motivated trained nursing staff. We have general wards, semi-private which accommodate 4 patients per room and private which are self contained with alarm system. We have male, medical. and surgical wards, female wards, paediatric wards, maternity and labour wards full with neonatal resuscitation equipment and incubators.

Outpatient department

The out-patient department is designed to ease patient flow. It consists of registration and consultation rooms, pharmacy, laboratory, MCH and casualty rooms among others. We offer 24-hrs emergency service.

Diagnostic laboratory services

Situated at the OPD, offers a wide range of tests: microbiology, biochemistry, haematology, coagulation tests, serology and parasitology. We offer over 50 tests which include haemoglobin, haemogram, urinalysis, CD4, etc.

Dear clients, as the laboratory department continues to grow and respond to your needs we are pleased to inform you that we have started culture and sensitivity in the microbiology section of the lab.

Culture and sensitivity remains a gold-standard for diagnosis of bacterial infections. And with this we have operationalised:

  • Stool culture
  • Urine culture
  • Pus culture
  • Blood culture
  • CSF culture

MCH/FP (Maternal Child Health / Family Planning) SERVICES

The following services are provided:

  • Immunization
  • Growth monitoring
  • Family planning
  • Antenatal and post natal care
  • PMCTCT (Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission)
  • Cervical Cancer Screening
  • Reproductive health service like MVA (manual vacuum aspiration), evacuation, etc
  • Issuing of ITN (insecticide treated mosquito net)

We do give health education and counsel mothers on conditions that cause infant and maternal ill health or death e.g. anemia, malaria, STI/HIV/AIDS

We encourage and screen mothers for HIV and VDRL (Venereal Disease Research Laboratory).

Have additional mobile clinics that were previously being funded by AMKENI, which wound up. The hospital has been forced to stretch to keep the mobile clinics that are basically free of charge, running. It is therefore still seeking for funds to support these services that have been very beneficial especially to the low-income earning community around.

HIV/AIDS Care

We have a Comprehensive Care Centrex which is funded by CMMB and it has 2000 churches enrolled. We have a strong outreach programmer with communities and support groups. We also have a youth support team. The orphaned children have a club which has also been very successful.

Maternity Services

This service is offered in the in-patient department. We have maternity wards well equipped with incubators and neonatal resuscitation equipment among others.

Radiology Services

We have new X-ray machine and an automatic film processor. The department also has an improved (computerized) ultra-sound unit able to perform Doppler examination, which have improved our diagnostic capabilities.

Physiotherapy Services

It is a a newly established department that is still sourcing for equipment.

Pharmacy

The pharmacy currently has a staff of 4. The pharmacy is well equipped with all the essential drugs. Most of the drugs are purchased from MEDS (Mission for Essential Drugs & Supplies).

The hospital in addition has one trained staff member who graduated recently from Sabatia Eye Clinic, and therefore the Eye Clinic is was started this fiscal year but still needs more equiping

The Chaplain's department

This department is headed by the Hospital Chaplain. It is incharge of organizing and running Morning Devotions for staff, ward-to-ward prayer for patients, spiritual counseling for staff and patients, follow-ups and funeral programmes among others.
